چکیده
Abstract Concrete slabs are widely used in modern railways to increase the inherent resilient quality of tracks, provide safe and smooth rides, reduce maintenance frequency. In this paper, elastic performance a novel slab trackform for high-speed is investigated using three-dimensional finite element modelling Abaqus. It then compared ballasted track. First, track models developed replicate full-scale testing sections. Once calibrated with experimental results, model against results. The extended create linear dynamic models, considering geodynamics, simulating train passages at various speeds, which Ledsgård documented case was validate models. Trains travelling low high speeds analysed investigate deflections wave propagation soil, issues associated critical speeds. Various loading methods discussed, most practical approach retained described. Moreover, correlations made between geotechnical parameters rail conventional standards. found that same ground condition, considerably smaller than those while they show similar behaviour

Experimental and numerical determination of transfer functions along railway tracks
Ground borne vibration in buildings due to railway traffic is a major concern in densely built up areas. In practice, railway induced vibration is often predicted by means of empirical methods such as the Detailed Vibration Assessment developed by the U.S. Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). The vibration velocity level in the free field is predicted based on a separate characterization of t...
متن کاملExperimental and Numerical Modal Analysis of a Concrete High Speed Train Railway Bridge
Train induced vibrations are a major environmental concern both in Europe and China. Besides the effect of vibrations due to passenger and freight trains and subways at relatively low speed, the study of the vibrational impact of high speed trains is of high interest. In Belgium, for example, new high speed train lines connect Brussels with Paris and London, while extensions to Amsterdam and Co...

متن کاملNumerical Solution of Fence Performance for Reduction of Sand Deposition on Railway Tracks
Movement of sand particles in nature creates many problems for humans. One of these problems is deposition of particles on rails that decrease the speed of the train or in some cases hampers the reversal of the train rails. In this paper the motion of sand particles over a railway track embankment, and how these particles settle on railway tracks are investigated. Moreover, the performance of di...
متن کاملHigh Speed, High Capacity Bused Interconnects using Optical Slab Waveguides
In this paper we consider the use of optical slab waveguides as buses in a parallel computing environment. We show that slab buses can connect to many more elements than conventional electrical or ber optic buses. We also introduce a novel multiplexing scheme called mode division multiplexing that vastly increases the number of independent channels that a single slab can support. We show that o...
